Description

Avivo Recovery Services Division is made up of two service Areas; Integrated Chemical Health/245G Substance Use Disorder programs and Community Chemical and Mental Health programs which provide a continuum of integrated services, including access, clinical treatment, care-coordination, and recovery support. We provide services that are innovative, person centered, strength based, and outcome driven. The Service Area Director of Community Chemical and Mental Health will lead and mentor the interdisciplinary team in our Community Support Program, Adult Mental Health, Targeted Case Management, Care Coordination and Mental Health Clinic. The Director is part of the leadership team that also includes admissions and operations, Integrated Mental Health and Chemical Health/245G programs. This position will serve as the Clinical and Program Director of the mental health clinic.

This is an onsite role office at 1826 Chicago Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN with ability to support all Avivo Chemical and Mental Health sites.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership and Supervision
  • Oversee the recruitment, hiring, retention and development of a diverse workforce, ensuring adherence with all applicable organization policies and procedures.
  • Interview, hire and train for direct staff roles, develop and evaluate staff based on documented needs and desired outcomes for programs/services.
  • Ensure the appropriate supervision of all professional, paraprofessional and support staff.
  • Manage and oversee the disciplinary process of staff not meeting standards, and ensure all actions are consistent with established organization policies. Consult with Vice President and Human Resources prior to implementing disciplinary actions.
  • Lead and supervise staff, providing ongoing coaching, training, support, and an atmosphere for open and direct communication; establishing and clearly communicating performance expectations and ensuring effective delegation; and, conducting timely performance reviews.
  • Maintain individual productivity goals. Ensure team members maintain productivity goals.
  • Maintain compliance with organization and licensing board ethical standards and standards of conduct. Ensure regular discussion of ethical and boundaries with teams.


Qualifications

Education and Experience

Required:
  • Master's degree in Mental Health field.
  • Licensure: Must be licensed by a designated licensure board in the State of Minnesota, e.g., Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy, Minnesota Board of Marriage and Family Therapy, etc. in the State of Minnesota, or may have dual licensure as an LADC in good standing.
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience with community-based programs. Experience with programs serving individuals with dual diagnoses helpful.
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience in mental health and chemical health clinical services.
  • Experience as a credentialed and supervisory mental health professional for clinical supervision and billing
  • Experience creating and managing budgets effectively.
  • Experience with and/or commitment to working in a diverse, continuum of services in a fast-paced, growing organization.
  • Experience with and/or a demonstrated commitment to developing and delivering culturally responsive services.

Preferred:

  • Licensure to include LICSW, LPCC, LMFT or Psy D.
  • Dually licensed professional (mental health and chemical health) desired.
  • Experience with programs serving individuals with dual diagnoses.
