Electrical Senior Engineer/ Project Manager

French and Parrello Associates is currently looking for an experienced Electrical Sr. Engineer/Project Manager to join in our team at our Wall, NJ Office or Newark, NJ Office. This position requires a strong and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields. Must be able to make decisions independently, represent the organization in a professional manner and interact with clients, as well as plan and coordinate work.
The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in engineering and possess strong technical, leadership, and communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparation of Electrical bid/permit documents, including plans and specifications.
- Participation in project meetings, proposal preparation, and operational budget management.
- Supervision and mentoring of junior design staff.
- Experienced with Power Distribution, Lighting design, Lighting Control, and Fire Alarm.
- Perform detailed electrical calculations: load calculations, voltage drop, and short circuit study & underground duct de-rating calculations.
- Perform field survey to document the existing conditions for electrical and fire alarm systems.
- Specification writing.
- Provide construction cost estimate and develop project schedule for projects in all areas of electrical distribution and low voltage systems.
- Inspect completed installations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications.
- Construction administration services, including shop drawing review, performance of site inspections, and preparation of punch-lists.
- Candidates shall be capable of working with minimal supervision.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience or proficiency in the utilization of AutoCAD is preferred but not required.
- Revit BIM modeling experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and reliability.
- Ability to work in a team environment or individually.
- Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License and pass a background check.
- BSEE from an accredited college or university.
- 8 years minimum experience in the design of Electrical systems.
- The ability to manage MEP projects is a plus.
- Professional Engineer (PE) is a plus.
