About the Role
The Sales Operations Manager at Steer is responsible for driving profitable revenue growth by providing end-to-end analytics and operational insights. This role plays a key part in ensuring that Steer's revenue-driving teams are equipped with actionable data, reports, and strategic intelligence. The Revenue Operations Manager will manage Steer's comprehensive sales data platform, enabling the sales team to track key performance indicators (KPIs) in real time, such as call volume, talk time, conversion rates, customer retention, average contract size, lead penetration, and historical performance. Additionally, this role will proactively identify trends and generate insights that support data-driven decision-making across the business.
The role is hybrid in Waltham, MA and requires 2-3x onsite per week.

You Will
- Leverage sales data, customer trends, and financial information to generate actionable insights and forecasts for revenue optimization.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting through tools like Hubspot, Snowflake, Tableau, and Looker to meet evolving business needs.
- Analyze revenue performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations to drive growth and profitability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and finance, to develop data-driven solutions for operational challenges.
- Monitor and analyze KPIs that impact revenue, delivering clear scorecards and actionable presentations to stakeholders.
- Participate in enhancing analytical processes, including automating reporting workflows.
- Create and manage dashboards and visualizations that translate complex data into digestible formats for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proactively assist the sales team with data requests and create new reports that improve operational efficiency.
- Lead and mentor a team of two sales analysts to support their growth and achieve departmental goals.
- Develop and implement revenue operations strategies and processes to drive efficiency and growth.
You Have
Must Have
- Bachelor's degree (advanced degree in quantitative or business-related fields preferred) or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- 3+ years of experience in business planning, revenue operations, sales analytics, finance, or a related area.
- 2+ years of experience in leading teams and cross-functional process improvements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Expertise in Hubspot or similar CRM platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build logical analytical frameworks.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience handling sensitive information with sound judgment in what can be shared internally and externally.
- Ability to develop and present dashboards and PowerPoint presentations to large audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Ability to commute to the Waltham, MA office 2-3x per week.
Nice to Have
- SQL queries or similar programming languages.
- Tableau or other business intelligence software.
- Pendo, Recurly, Looker or Oracle experience.
