Purpose

  • This role will leverage insights into our people and organizational data, allowing for an improved decision-making process at both an operational and strategic level. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in HR data analytics and statistical forecasting methods. This individual will be responsible for all data analytics for workforce planning management, developing people analytics reporting, and creating and maintaining dashboards to align with the needs of the business. This is a newly created role that requires a self-starter with the experience, aptitude, and attitude to build the function from the ground up.


Major Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with HR leadership and the HR team, develop and propose short- and long-term workforce planning forecasts and strategies based on business needs and goals.
  • Develop and manage robust statistical models to analyze historical data, trends, patterns, and costs to forecast and predict staffing needs and requirements.
  • Design, build, and maintain reporting and dashboard solutions, using Excel, Tableau, Alteryx, and other tools.
  • Work extensively with SAP HR data to extract, analyze, and interpret data related to the employee lifecycle, compensation, benefits, diversity, and performance metrics.
  • Design and automate reports, visualizations, and dashboards for leadership to surface insights, troubleshoot issues, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with HR functions, Finance, IT, and the business to understand specific people and data challenges to streamline reporting and improve current workforce planning processes.
  • Act as the subject matter expert and lead system administrator for internal workforce management tools.

  • Use quantitative and qualitative data-driven insights to help develop compelling, logically structured presentations and deliverables to communicate strategy to HR leadership.
  • Seek continuous process improvement by exploring opportunities to streamline and enhance processes to increase timeliness and efficiency.
  • Keep current with market trends and demands.
  • Collaborate with the HR Leadership Team and other HR team members with various ad hoc reporting needs and special projects.

Education

~ Bachelor's degree required.
~ Must be a high school graduate

Related Experience

  • Five or more years of progressive experience in data analytics, preferably in an HR setting..
  • Demonstrated experience with SAP/SuccessFactors is a plus.
  • Experience working with data analytics and reporting tools.
  • Experience leading analytics initiatives or projects from concept to implementation is desired.


Skills/Knowledge

  • Excellent analytical skills and statistics knowledge are a must.
  • Advanced spreadsheet and database skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros, VBA, etc.).
  • Understanding of SQL and database structures and querying is preferred.
  • Experience using Tableau, Alteryx, PowerBI, SAS, and/or any other advanced analytical business intelligence tools.
  • Proven experience in data modeling, statistical forecasting and regressions.
  • Ability to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from multiple sources.
  • Excellent attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Skilled at synthesizing data, organizing, providing valuable insight, and effectively presenting results.
  • Strategic thinker with exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong PowerPoint, reporting, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, results-driven environment.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity well and change course when needed.


Certification

  • Certification in analytics and/or data science a plus.

$69,300.00 - $99,000.00 Annual
