Job Description As an Aircraft Structures Technician, you will perform structural repairs, inspections, services, and modifications according to FAA regulations and standards. You will work with sheet metal and composite materials, read and interpret blueprints, and ensure all work is documented accurately. This role requires performing scheduled and special inspections, diagnosing malfunctions, and supporting various aircraft systems and components. Responsibilities Perform structural repairs, including sheet metal and composite materials. Read and interpret blueprints for modifications and fabrications. Conduct inspections, repairs, services, and modifications per FAA regulations. Perform scheduled and special inspections, correct discrepancies, and service systems. Diagnose malfunctions using standard tests and diagnostic equipment. Remove, inspect, assemble, and install major helicopter components and parts. Service all aircraft systems and support towing, parking, mooring, and storage. Complete and maintain paperwork for jobs performed, materials used, tasks completed, and time spent. Provide on-the-job training for co-workers. Be available and qualified to travel for routine, preventive, or corrective maintenance. Support the shop with component wrapping/unwrapping and crating/uncrating. Document work performed on the computer. Follow FOD inspection criteria to maintain a clean and organized workspace. Essential Skills 5-7 years of aviation experience. Experience with sheet metal, composite materials, and helicopter structures. Ability to follow instructions and work under minimal supervision. Proficiency in documenting work on computers. Understanding of AS9100 regulations. Experience with airframe and powerplant (A&P) systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with repairs of helicopter dynamic components is a plus. No licenses required; contract employees will sign off under repair station number. Work Environment You will be working in a FAA Part 145 completions and repair facility. The role involves using various technologies and equipment, and you will be expected to adhere to specific work hours and shifts.
