The GPU, Graphics and Displays (GGD) group is looking for Engineering Project Manager to help shape our next generation SoCs for products like the Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Vision Pro etc. You’ll be responsible for managing the Pre-Silicon Software Engineering projects for these SoCs. You’ll be leading communication between several engineering groups at Apple, and helping to define and run processes that ensure GPU & Display pre-silicon development for these products is successfully executed.DescriptionApple’s GGD group provides the graphics software foundation across all of Apple's innovative products, from iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, to Apple TV, iTunes,Vision and Mac. As a key link between developers and our hardware, GGD drives the development of display, graphics drivers and provides frameworks and technologies that power the most advanced Games, GPU Compute, and Graphics Pro Apps across Apple platforms. As the EPM in this area, you’ll own, and/or participate in: - Defining and tracking progress for our Pre-silicon deliverables & SoC bring-up leading into production. - Partnering with xfunc teams across multiple teams at Apple to drive GPU & Display feature deliverables through the product development life cycle. - Establishing, managing and communicating program feature plans, active investigations, escalations, and drive technical risks to resolution. - Identifying and highlighting technical risk areas and mitigation strategies in partnership with the technical subject matter experts. - Maintaining & influencing a multi-year roadmap of products and planned GPU & Display feature implementation. - Driving continuous improvements and increased efficiency across program management processes.Minimum Qualifications5+ years of Project / Program Management in a high-tech environmentBackground in CPU, GPU (Graphics HW, Graphics APIs like Metal) or exposure to Display technologies(eg: Color, HDR,..)Preferred QualificationsBS/MS (EE/CS/CE)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated Leadership on major, cross-functional projectsAbility to dive deep on technical topics and abstract the right level of information into an actionable path forward with cross-functional consensus.Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilitiesDemonstrated ability to quickly understand or ramp up on technical concepts in a wide range of fieldsDemonstrated ability to provide succinct, accurate executive summaries of complicated situationsExperience in introducing or having an understanding of HW into manufacturing, or high volume productionPay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
