Company Overview:
Our client is seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President of Finance to join our leadership team. This role is critical in shaping the financial and operational framework to support scalable growth, ensuring we capitalize on market opportunities while driving efficiency and performance across the organization.

Position Summary:
The VP of Finance will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for driving strategic planning, financial management, and operational excellence. This individual will oversee HR, IT, Accounting, and Asset Management, building systems and processes to prepare the company for scale. They will redefine performance metrics, focus on company valuation, and ensure the organization is ready to seize growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:
  • Serve as one of five key leaders on the executive team, contributing to the company's strategy, vision, and quarterly objectives ("rocks").
  • Develop and implement scalable financial and operational systems to support long-term growth.
  • Redefine organizational KPIs and measurables, identifying critical metrics the company needs to monitor for success.
Financial and Asset Management:
  • Oversee all aspects of financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and company valuation.
  • Lead accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of reporting.
  • Optimize asset management strategies to maximize ROI and property value.
Operational Leadership:
  • Manage and integrate operations across HR, IT, and Accounting, ensuring cohesive and efficient processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes, leveraging technology and best practices to enhance efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies, maintaining high standards of integrity and transparency.
Team Development:
  • Lead and mentor directors and staff across all functional areas, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Support the professional development of team members, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
  • Monitor and analyze KPIs to track performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
  • Deliver actionable insights to the leadership team, supporting data-driven decision-making.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Partner with other departments to align strategies, ensure operational synergy, and drive company-wide objectives.
  • Act as a bridge between finance and other functions to maintain alignment and achieve shared goals.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong expertise in accounting, financial planning, and asset management.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage scalable systems and processes in a growth-focused environment.
  • Experience with property management software and proficiency in the Google Office Suite.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a track record of fostering high-performance teams.
  • Ability to think strategically while executing tactically, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
