The Purpose of Your Role
Our Legal Department is seeking hardworking law school students to be part of the 2023 summer intern program. The team provides services and counsel to Fidelity's many lines of business, which offers interns the opportunity for exposure across numerous legal subject areas. Interns will have the chance to gain invaluable experience on a broad range of sophisticated legal and policy matters. We are hiring interns in both our Boston, MA and Westlake, TX locations! We are looking for:
- Rising 1L students
- Prior financial services industry exposure, business-related work, or legal experience preferred

The Value You Deliver
- Conduct legal research, draft memoranda, and assist staff attorneys and other members of the Legal Department with legal issues faced by Fidelity's business units. This includes investment management, personal & workplace investing, brokerage and private capital functions. Areas of the law to be covered may include securities, tax, litigation, employment, real estate, intellectual property, retirement (individual and business plans) and general corporate.
- Capture information across the company in response to litigation, arbitration, regulatory issues and business initiatives.
- Provide ad hoc support to individuals in the Legal Department including assistance with preparing reports and project-related matters.
- Participate in working group meetings and supervised interactions with business clients.
- Contribute to creating an inclusive working environment.
