DutiesServes as the DLA Troop Support Division Chief of the Audit Readiness Division.Provides oversight and maintenance of DLA/Troop Support’s Financial Officer’s Certification of auditability.Oversees and manages Troop Support’s Risk Management and Internal Control Program, conducting annual risk assessments and internal control testing.Manages the Troop Support responses to Inspector General Audits with regard to auditability and the DLA Enterprise Risk Management and Internal Control Program.Effectively exercises program management responsibility over all related processes from the actual business event to the reflection of that event on financial statements.Works independently to evaluate the economy, efficiency of operations, risks to financial and operational objectives, program results, and the systems of internal control.Participates in briefings, meetings, and advanced studies to analyze/interpret legislation to ascertain the potential impact to Troop Support policies, procedures, and business practices.Requirements Conditions of EmploymentMust be a U.S. citizenTour of Duty: FlexibleSecurity Requirements: Non-Critical Sensitive with Secret AccessAppointment is subject to the completion of a favorable suitability or fitness determination, where reciprocity cannot be applied; unfavorably adjudicated background checks will be grounds for removal.Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA): ExemptSelective Service Requirement: Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.Recruitment Incentives: Not AuthorizedSupervisory Probation: RequiredCompletion of Supervisory Certification Program: RequiredBargaining Unit Status: NoFinancial Disclosure: RequiredThis is an obligated position and occupancy is subject to the return of former incumbent. QualificationsA. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Analyzing ongoing audit and business-related activities, processes, policies, and procedures.Utilizing knowledge pertaining to Financial Officer's Certification of auditability, associated OSD assertion tabs, OMB Circular A-123, associated business processes, and business events.Engaging with supply chain analysis mechanisms and end-to-end systems support to lead and guide others in assigned tasks.Managing personnel, programs, projects, and associated activities.Adapting to shifting priorities and rapid changes to identify financial/process deficiencies and the need for corrective actions.Conducting risk assessments, internal reviews, audits of business processes/process flows, and internal control programs.

EducationSubstitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.Additional informationThis position is being filled as a Temporary appointment not-to-exceed (NTE) 1 year. Current permanent DLA employees eligible as a Promotion, this position will be filled as a Temporary Promotion NTE 1 year and may be extended up to a total of five years or converted to a permanent promotion without further competition. Current permanent DLA employees eligible as a Reassignment/Change-to-Lower Grade, this position will be filled as a Reassignment/Change-to-Lower Grade with the intent to be limited to the time period specified in the announcement and may be reassigned at management's discretion or made permanent at any time. Upon termination/expiration of the temporary assignment, placement will be either to the gaining or previous organization in accordance with DLA policy (DLAI 1442.04) regarding placement rights after a time-limited assignment. For all others, if selected, this would be a Temporary/Time-Limited Appointment NTE 1 year, and extended in increments of up to one year, NTE a total of three years.
