The Wireless Module Test Engineering Lead (WMTE) will be responsible for designing and driving strategy for all high-volume RF module tests at the module factories adhering to the internal processes/objectives. The Lead engineer is responsible for research, design, and development of test methodologies at the module vendors for multiple Wireless technologies (Wifi/UWB/GPS/Cellular/NFC). They would need to work with multiple chipsets across wireless technologies and plan the appropriate high volume test strategy. This position will support multiple product lines from the Hardware Technology organization from early concept through MP. The WMTE will apply a confirmed EE/RF background to understand technical details, issues and risks.DescriptionDesign, develop, and implement test strategy/methodology across wireless technologies at module factories. Own and debug test stations at module factories. Ensure Wireless module tests are planned around upstream and downstream tests at multiple vendors. Drive module vendors, fixture suppliers and instrument vendors for test implementation. Analyze volume data to finalize test requirements and provide feedback on engineering decisions.Minimum QualificationsBS with 10+ years of relevant industry experienceExtensive programming experience in C, C++, Matlab, Python, or comparable languagesSkilled at driving cross-functional decision-making and collaborating with various test teams (upstream/downstream) to develop a comprehensive end-to-end product testing strategyHands on experience with RF lab equipment and bench validation, skilled in working with and programming high-volume automatic test equipment (ATE) testers such as LitePoint, Advantest and TeradyneExperienced in data and yield analysis, with proficiency in JMP, Tableau, or similar tools.Preferred QualificationsDeep understanding of wireless technologiesHighly self-motivated and capable of leading vendors, test partners, and establishing effective test strategiesExceptional expertise in hardware and software integration, problem-solving, and optimizationWell-versed in the design, validation, and debugging of DUT control boardsPay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $166,600 and $296,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
