We are looking for an experienced and outcome-driven Embedded Quality Engineer to ensure that we deliver the best in-class camera solution for iOS products! Are you passionate about testing firmware/drivers for the image processing pipeline and the machine learning neural engine? If so, you will work closely with the software development team to build and implement test plans focused on qualifying camera firmware and drivers to ensure we ship a quality product. The ideal candidate will have a history of working on successful, large-volume consumer products. As a member of our fast-paced group, you will have the outstanding and exciting opportunity to be part of and develop upcoming products that will delight and inspire millions of Apple’s customers every day!DescriptionIn this role you will: Independently drive and own testing of one or more camera features across platforms Design test cases and implement test plans related to functionality, performance, power, stability, and image quality of our camera solution Automate test cases and develop test tools on mobile platforms Partner with development teams and multi-functional QA team to triage, diagnose, debug issues and derive root-cause Identify trends and highlight potential risksMinimum QualificationsBS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience3 years+ of QA experience testing embedded system productsProficient in Python or similar scripting languageExperience developing automated tests supporting embedded systems or mobile devicesUnderstanding of the camera technologies, image signal processing (ISP) pipeline, 3A, video formats and color spacePreferred QualificationsStrong in developing system and feature level test plans and test casesFamiliarity and experience with command-line operation of operating systems such as macOS or Unix/Linux preferredStrong verbal and excellent interpersonal skillsPay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
