WATN WLMT-TV, ABC24, the TEGNA-owned station in Memphis, Tennessee, is looking for our next Production Manager. In this role, you will lead our production team, which includes directors and production operators, to produce the best content across all the station's platforms.
As the production manager, you will not only be responsible for the production of our live newscasts, but you will also manage project logistics for other productions, including marketing and sales needs. This role also requires working with the Head of Technology to maintain the studio's and control room's technology and propose upgrades that keep our station at the forefront of any technological changes.
The ideal candidate must be highly organized with the ability to track several projects simultaneously. The person fit for this job also values growing and developing their team and helping them reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:
- Schedules and facilitates training of production staff.
- Manages project logistics for various station productions
- Provides technical support and guidance to production staff including advice on techniques and style
- Works with technology to troubleshoot any issues
- Hiring, coaching/mentoring, and lead performance management of production staff
- Works alongside News Director and Assistant News Director to ensure quality newscasts
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Head of Technology
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in journalism and/or communications, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven experience as a digital video storyteller with strong camera and editing skills
- Experience with Edius preferred
- Ability to prioritize and address multiple project with varying production timelines
- Must be energetic, positive and a great team builder and leader
- Must be a highly motivated self-starter, able to work well alone and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
