Vassar Brothers Medical Center, located in Poughkeepsie, New York, just 75 minutes north of New York City, is seeking an experienced CT surgeon to assume the role of Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery. The hospital performs over 330 open heart procedures annually, and is the only hospital with open heart surgery in a 60 mile radius. The program is supported by 2 cardiac cath labs and 2 cath/ep labs including a hybrid room for TAVR procedures. The hospital does 700 PCI procedures and more than 2,500 total procedures annually. Vassar consistently has one of the lowest risk adjusted mortality rates for CABG in NY State. The successful candidate will demonstrate a history of excellence and leadership in their training and experience commensurate with this position. At a minimum, current Board Certification in CT surgery and case volume of at least 150/year; experience with TAVR and minimally invasive techniques are a plus.
