Talent Development Manager - York, NE

PURPOSE

The Talent Development Manager role is responsible for the strategic development and implementation of employee training and development initiatives at Central Valley Ag (CVA). This role will oversee the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding to leadership development, ensuring that our team is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to achieve organizational goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive employee development strategy aligned with CVA s Mission, Vision, Core Values and business objectives.
  • Program Management: Oversee the management and continuous improvement of existing training programs, including CVA University, LMS, sales training, onboarding, and operational training.
  • Needs Assessment: Conduct regular needs assessments to identify skill gaps and training requirements across the organization.
  • Program Development: Design and develop new training programs and initiatives to address identified needs.
  • Leadership Development: Develop and implement leadership development programs to build a strong pipeline of future leaders.
  • Talent Management: Partner with Talent to identify high-potential employees and create Individual Development Plans to support their growth.
  • Training Delivery: Deliver training programs and workshops as needed.
  • Evaluation: Measure the effectiveness of training programs and adjust as necessary to improve outcomes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with department heads, managers, and employees to ensure training needs are met.
  • Programs include (not limited to): CVA University, Critical Thinking, LMS Training, Onboarding, Benefits Training, Intern Training, DiSC, Clifton Strengths Finder, Location Manager Summit, Professional Applicator Conference, Customer Service Specialist, Build the Bench, Grain Operations Training, Bin Fan Management, Dryer Training, Agronomy 101-202, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

There are no supervisory roles with the position

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
  • Four-year degree in a related field and 3 to 5 years of experience.
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner and establish effective working relationships with internal operations and external customers.

  • Can plan, prioritize, organize and manage resources to accomplish jobs within the defined timetable.
  • Ability to multi-task several assignments simultaneously and establish job priorities, logic and reasoning to identify solutions to problems.
  • Has a good understanding of basic computer skills and the ability to learn how to use software quickly.
  • Displays the ability to work in a collaborative and team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents required.
