• Coverage: 1 day physician (7A-7P), 1 night physician (7P-7A)
• Mid-level coverage: 2 PA shifts: 9A-9P and 12P-12A
• Annual Volume: 32,000
• Physicians typically see 18-20 patients in 12 hr shift, PAs see 25-30 (lower acuity) patients in 12 hr shift
• Admission Rate: Approx. 4-10 per 24/hr
• ESI Scale: 3-4, sometimes 5
• ED/Bed Size: 22 beds, 2 Trauma Rooms, 1 Designated Sexual Assault Examiner Room
• Credentialing Timeframe: 1-3 weeks

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• EM or FM board certification: FM MUST have extensive (10+ years) of ED experience
• Active NC License
• MUST be comfortable with solo coverage
