Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis

You are a proven leader who has cultivated the skills and abilities necessary to oversee the Financial Planning and Analysis function and deliver a high-level of strategic support to senior leadership in forward-looking initiatives. Compliance is a values-based commitment, and you work closely with the Controller in support of measures that ensure the organization’s health. You have a keen aptitude for management reporting and how it will drive better business decisions to maximize the missions Network Organizations and other associated entities to preserve the financial health and maximize the missions of these organizations. YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide financial leadership to network organizations.
- Model and drive a culture that exemplifies Market Based Management® Guiding Principles in interactions within the organization and across the network.
- Supervise and manage financial planning and analysis team.
- Partner with management team to provide strategic insight and recommendations for business operations. Collaborate with leaders across the network to leverage financial analyses for the benefit of other like-minded organizations.
- Manage organizations’ annual financial planning and monthly forecasting processes effectively and efficiently, tying them to organizational strategies and goals.
- Ensure organizational outlays are managed to within approved plans and forecasts.
- Work with Controller to understand variances, and work with organization appropriately to address variances as needed.
- Support organization leaders with insightful quantitative analysis and process support for major spending initiatives and other ad-hoc projects.
- Identify areas for improvement in financial performance and work with organization leaders to implement as appropriate.
- Work closely with colleagues in financial operations and financial reporting
- Provide oversight to interactions with the Audit and Finance Committee
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10+ years of financial management experience
- MBA or CPA preferred
- Non-profit experience preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to compliance
- Entrepreneurial attitude with a bias toward action
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively, in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, environment
- A passion for advancing free and open societies
