The Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS) is seeking a full-time MD/DO Hematologist/Oncologist in Little Rock, Arkansas. The ideal candidate is Board Certified or Board Eligible and an effective leader of high-performing physicians. Preferred experience in leadership and administration, clinical teaching, and research. Our medicine section is a very collaborative and high-functioning group of physicians and administrative support. Our clinical areas are filled with staff who are here to serve the veterans.
Little Rock is the capital city of Arkansas, located in the central part of the state. It is a wonderful place to live. Arkansans' can spend their weekends exploring the historic Arkansas State Capitol, wandering through the Arkansas Art Centers and museums, or enjoying the outdoors and the beautiful Ozark Mountains. With a National Airport reachable in a 15-minute drive, Little Rock is also a great place to live and explore the nation.
Highlights of this opportunity:
- Potential starting base salary range: $350,000-$400,000
- Amazing retirement pension and retiree health benefits for life.
- Daily work schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm;
- 2-3 days section leadership responsibilities
- 1-2 day(s) per week in clinic, and shared inpatient rounds
- Paid Time Off: Total of 50-55 days per year
- No Physician Employment Contract, you can moonlight or work in other facilities as long as you do not treat veterans there.
