Job Description
As the Senior Manager, Commercial Finance within the FP&A function of the Centers of Excellence (CoE) finance team, you will serve as a key finance business partner to the Global Product Development & Innovation (GPD&I) organization. Your responsibilities will include:

Job Description
As the Senior Manager, Commercial Finance within the FP&A function of the Centers of Excellence (CoE) finance team, you will serve as a key finance business partner to the Global Product Development & Innovation (GPD&I) organization. Your responsibilities will include:
- Financial modeling
- Business case development
- Three-year strategic planning
- Operational evaluations
Location: This position can be based in our Deerfield, IL or North Olmsted, OH with a hybrid schedule.
What you will be doing
- Serve as the primary financial partner for GPD&I teams to assess and prioritize product development opportunities.
- Support the Connected Products Group by providing financial guidance, insights, and support for related activities.
- Manage the creation of a company-wide margin framework for consistent assessment and monitoring.
- Standardize the CER process for New Product Development (NPD) to ensure alignment and compliance across all business units.
- Provide decision support through financial modeling for various investment scenarios, including discounted cash flow and NPV review.
- Develop comprehensive business cases for product initiatives, incorporating market data, price/volume/mix selections, and KPIs.
- Establish a common financial model across business units to drive efficiency and consistency in strategic choices.
- Analyze actual results versus forecasts to support long-term strategic plans, annual budgets, and quarterly forecasts.
- Prepare executive-level financial reports and presentations for senior executives.
- Manage, develop, and mentor a team, including conducting 1:1s, providing feedback, and performing performance reviews.
- Oversee special projects focused on improving financial processes and systems.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- 7+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and influence senior executives.
- Expertise in financial modeling, business case development, and portfolio review.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Experience managing high-priority, long-term projects alongside immediate deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication of complex financial information to facilitate strategic decision-making.
- Familiarity with financial planning tools like Excel, SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC), Tableau Desktop, and Qliksense.
- Demonstrated experience in product development, make-vs-buy choices, or cost of complexity analyses.
- Experience CPG or design-to-manufacture industries.
- Experience in establishing financial frameworks and standardizing processes (e.g., CER, margin framework).
