About This Role

Every position at Common Citizen from seed to sale, is contributing to our mission to serve our fellow citizens of Michigan with the highest quality, safest cannabis product through our highly individualized and education-oriented provisioning centers. The Sales Manager is responsible for driving success with each of their accounts, growing their account list through effective prospecting, and successfully enacting company initiatives throughout their territory.

Responsibilities

Outlined below is what we see you doing at this point in time. We are a fast-growing company looking for people that are excited to grow along with us. Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Contribute to the successful achievement of team sales goals and KPIs including pricing optimization
  • Partner with accounts to understand their business needs and drive success at each of their stores
  • Successfully build inroads with target accounts to grow the company's account list in Michigan market
  • Ensure timely and accurate account record keeping across CRM and sales interfaces
  • Partner with Sales Coordinators in ensuring timely training, education, and support of accounts as necessary
  • Partner with Accounts Receivable to ensure invoice payment is received.
  • Bring a positive attitude to work every day, ready to contribute to a culture of teamwork and success while personifying our brand ideals as a representative of the Company in the market
  • Set up meetings with dispensary purchasing managers via cold-calling, email, and industry events
  • Coordinate sample product drop off to local retailers using our distribution partner
  • Accelerate sales with retail partners through a variety of tasks including, frequent in-person activity with customers, managing purchase orders, maintaining inventory, deploying brand ambassadors, and implementing digital & physical marketing strategies to promote sales
  • Promote brand awareness with customers by educating them about our products, monitoring their feedback, tracking their preferences, and effectively addressing their questions. As well as implement marketing strategies.
  • Implement brand activations with collaborators across your territory; these brand activations can take place in private venues (infused) or public spaces (non-infused) and must guarantee compliance with all insurance, legal, health, and safety requirements
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of our product line as well as production process to inform potential clients
  • Liaise with operations to provide data to support production volumes, strains, and products.
  • Maintain communication with clients on a weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly basis or as necessary


The Experience You Bring and the Skills we Need:
  • Previous sales experience a must; cannabis experience a positive
  • Good interpersonal skills and strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to establish credibility with key partners, decision-makers & influencers
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Passion for the cannabis industry and understanding of key customer and market dynamics
  • Strong organization and time management while multitasking
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience creating reports, drawing forecasts
  • Must have and maintain a great attitude, work ethic, and respect for all team members
  • College degree preferred
Physical Requirements
  • Regularly required to sit for long periods of time
  • Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • Occasionally required to stand and walk.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
