Testek Solutions is currently seeking a Jr. Machine Builder/Pipefitter.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist lead machine builder pipefitter in assembly of hydraulic & mechanical test equipment
- Form and fasten piping, fixtures, and attachments required to service machine with air, water, and oil
- May install wiring and electrical components to specifications
- Must be able to perform all duties in a safe and professional manner
- Fits and assembles components according to assembly schematics, manuals, and knowledge of machine construction to construct, rebuild, and repair machines using hand tools and power tools
- Analyzes assembly schematics and specifications manual and plans machine building operations
- Verifies conformance of parts to stock list and drawings
- Lays out hole locations and drills and taps holes on parts for assembly
- Aligns components for assembly, manually or with hoist, bolts, screws, dowels, welds, or rivets parts using hand tools, rivet gun, and welding equipment
- Take part in the teardown and packaging of test equipment prior to shipment
- High school diploma or equivalent education and experience to demonstrate ability to perform the job.
- Basic Shop Math
- Must have a strong mechanical background
- Must be a team player
- Must be flexible and have the ability to work with others
- Must have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced engineering/manufacturing environment
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on pipe fitting experience.
- Hydraulics knowledge
- Pneumatics knowledge
- Experience with motors and gear boxes preferred
- Steel Fabrication
- Pipe Bending
- Experience building machines
- Ability to read and understand drawings and schematics
