Database Engineer III

Reflexive Concepts is seeking a skilled Database Engineer to join our team! The Database Engineer will direct the development of complex systems using queries, tables, and database storage and retrieval using Cloud methodologies for the design, development, implementation, information storage and retrieval, data flow and analysis. Direct the overall database structure to fit into the overall architecture of the system. Create new workflows to take over existing processes as needed as well as provide break/fix requests or updates. Lead development of database structures, database parser software, and database loading software. Direct fulfillment of requirements from a project inception to conclusion.

Required:

• A Bachelors Degree and 10 years of experience
• Experience installing, configuring, and optimizing NiFi standalone instances and clusters
• Experience with Linux
• Building and monitoring of data flows
• Comfortable creating and maintaining system documentation, SSPs, and SOPs

Preferred Qualifications:

• TLS/SSL/OpenSSL/keytool
• AWS/Docker/Kubernetes
• Regular expressions
• NoSQL Databases
• ELK Stack
• Splunk
• Technical infrastructure design skills
• Configuration tools (i.e., Salt/Puppet)
• Experience with creating procedures to execute queries
• Developing & deploying data driven analytics & event driven analytics
• Experience with creating and documenting ontologies, data models, schemas, data element dictionaries, APIs
• Experience with analyzing existing and cloning databases, such as postgres, graph, NoSQL, SQL
• Experience with ID'ing and testing queries to meet requirements
• Working knowledge of SQL, MySQL, Postgres, Oracle databases, etc.
• Oracle DB reproduction (Cloning) and experience in DB hardening (Security), Ensuring the databases are securely connected and performing regular syncs in between firewalls.
