As the Sr. Manager- Supply Chain Planning, you will play a significant role in the transformation and growth plans of the organization. You will manage the network planning and stocking strategy, inventory strategy, supply chain analytics, and continuous improvement. To deliver on these objectives, you will work closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Product Management, Purchasing, Plants, and DC Operations teams.In this role, you will become a critical contributor on a high performing team as the organization is building the foundation for growth through operational improvements and acquisitions. How You Will Help:
You and your team are responsible for the three key areas: Material Control, Vendor Managment and Supply Chain analytics/process improvement.
- Develop, document and drive standardized work process for all key purchasing decisions.
- Work with the operations leadership to tighten the linkage between the SIOP output and the sourcing of materials and shop floor control.
- Collaborate with the Sales and Operations team to develop and execute a our SIOP plan.
Material Control Strategy
- Evaluate current stocking model against target performance metrics. Regularly adjust the model to maintain performance.
- Develop, manage and own our inventory budget and forecast.
Vendor Management
- Evaluate Supplier base to insure they are meet delivery, quality and cost objectives
- Develop new suppliers while working with our Engineering and PMO to meet and/or increase capacity and capability across the supply chain.
Analytics, Systems, and Processes
- Monitor key inventory performance metrics. Develop, implement, and report on corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain monthly projections: on-hand and in-transit inventory, purchases, receipts, and payments. Identify and report on drivers of month-over-month changes.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and analytical models to support supply chain initiatives.
- Develop standard work and document processes.
- Lead supply chain continuous improvement projects.
What You Will Have:
- Proven track record of success in a complex Engineer to Order supply chain environment
- Experience in manufacturing, or industrial Engineer to Order market
- Expertise in supply chain principles and practices; demonstrated application to inventory management
- Experience and ability to lead, coach, and develop staff to improve performance and achieve professional goals
- Strong track record of using influencing skills to drive change while building effective relationships.
- Hands on, Roll-up the sleeves work ethic appropriate for a growing company
- 10+ years' work experience managing a complex supply chain with a mix of Mfg. purchased spend.
- Some experience orchestrating all supply chain disciplines - SIOP, logistics, manufacturing, distribution.
- Comfortable operating in a SKU intensive environment balancing ITO and Customer Service.
- Extensive experience working with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; experience in M3, and/or PowerBI is preferred
- Demonstrated success in developing processes and leading complex projects
- Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams with a record of building alignment at all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated continuous improvement skills and mindset
