We are in search of a Systems Engineer to join a team providing support in critical data processing services. The candidate will work within Agile teams providing assistance in the installation and integration of commercial software into sponsors framework, develop custom extensions and integration points for commercial software. The candidate may develop or build/deployment scripts, participate in project/program team reviews, maintain servers or identify potential environmental impacts on systems. The candidate will work with other project personnel to resolve technical problems, ensure developed applications and systems transition to customers in a timely manner, assess system designs to validate them against expected technical parameters, identify hardware and applications needed to complete the development process. The client's organization planning to build a modern cloud-based system to replace a legacy system and requires an infrastructure team that can work in a quick-paced, dynamic, agile software development environment. The team adheres to Agile Scrum development methodology best practices and has 2-week sprint cycles.

In this role you will:
  • As a team, work with a variety of individuals, including key stakeholders and other development teams while the client project manager manages priorities.
  • As a team, be responsible for identifying, documenting, and communicating risks and mitigations across the designed system and reviewing the existing and designed system to identify gaps and minimize overlaps.
  • Analyze project needs for alternative solutions, and identify needed layers and modules and how they work together for the system.
  • Review technical implementation strategies and plans, identifies inconsistencies and opportunities for improvement and communicates those results to the PM.
Clearance Required:
  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph
Required Experience, Skills, and Education:
  • Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of relevant experience. Additional work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Demonstrated experience working with an AWS cloud environment.
  • Demonstrated experience understanding and implementing system security requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience creating a testing environment to identify and improve bugs and efficiencies.
  • Demonstrated experience using task tracking and version control technology to include JIRA and GitHub.
  • Demonstrated experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) technologies including AWS Cloud Formation.
  • Demonstrated experience using automated build tools such as Jenkins.
  • Demonstrated experience with Linux operating systems and shell scripting such as Bash.
  • Demonstrated experience working with audit servers and critical data integration
  • Experience with scripting
  • Experience with building, maintain, and support Infrastructure servers located On Premise and in a AWS cloud environment.
  • Experience with developing and deploying software apps in a Linux environment
  • Hands-on experience working with AWS, Windows Desktops/Servers, Linux Desktops/Servers
  • Experience with virtual server environments
  • Experience with automated deployments
  • Demonstrates experience providing support for troubleshooting of server issues

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, or related field, or work experience in one of these areas.
  • Demonstrated professional experience with cloud technology networks, digital forensics, or cybersecurity topics.
  • Demonstrated experience using artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies/packages.

Pay Range: Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00
