007455 DIGITAL COMM SPEC 3
University of California San Francisco, San Francisco, CA
Job Summary
The California Preterm Birth Initiative (PTBi) is hiring a Creator and Storyteller for video, social media and digital
media who has a strong creative drive and track record with making a high volume of content to coordinate and
manage our social media channels and website. We're seeking someone who loves to create, thrives on trying
new things and learning, has many ideas and can balance all of this with executing and aligning the work with
the organization's objectives.
This role reports the director of communications and the person in it will need to be able to work independently
and collaboratively with the director of communications, broader communications team, our staff, Community
Advisory Board members, and others on our team to create content for all our social media accounts, including
Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook with an emphasis on video.
The work includes coming up with concepts using a wide variety of source material, shooting video and still
content, editing videos, retouching photos, mixing sound, and building out production- and go-live-ready
content. It also means scheduling, posting, monitoring analytics, and logistical coordination with our talent. This
role will require someone who is able to generate a lot of ideas and also produce a moderate to high volume of
content. It may be also helpful for this role to record voiceovers and be talent in videos.
The goal is to build an authentic and responsive online presence for PTBi and our public awareness campaign,
Voices for Birth Justice, on all of our channels.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

ensure cultural appropriateness and maximum impact, and ensuring dissemination of results to a broad audience
of stakeholders. PTBi-CA is generously funded by Marc and Lynne Benioff.
