THE ROLE
Firewalk Studios is looking for a Production Director who is interested in applying their passion and skills to help bring exceptional entertainment to millions of players. As our Production Director, you will be responsible for working alongside the Leadership team to ensure a strong production team, useful effective processes for regular delivery of the game and vision and strategy for production at Firewalk. In this role, you will guide your team as a force multiplier to help the rest of the team understand what is and isn't feasible, to make the best decisions possible and how best to achieve their goals in a healthy and sustainable way.

As our Production Director, you will be responsible for working alongside the Leadership team to ensure a strong production team, useful effective processes for regular delivery of the game and vision and strategy for production at Firewalk. In this role, you will guide your team as a force multiplier to help the rest of the team understand what is and isn't feasible, to make the best decisions possible and how best to achieve their goals in a healthy and sustainable way.
WHO YOU ARE
- You have experience creating processes and production teams for developing and delivering a live service game.
- You have experience working within a larger publishing organization to represent Firewalk, work with various service groups and create strategies to leverage those groups when appropriate. Or chart our own course as appropriate.
- You will create and own an actionable plan aligning the organization into a single vision for continuous delivery.
- You will manage and weigh the impact of all decisions.
- You will ensure progress and challenges of the game are clearly communicated to key stakeholders.
- You are an active listener, aren't afraid to ask questions, and are eager to help a team get more organized, and to communicate better.
- You have impeccable attention to detail and can get to the bottom of a problem with careful research, when required.
- You are passionate about hunting risk early and resolving any impediment or inefficiency as quickly as possible.
- You can navigate challenging, ambiguous situations to help achieve common ground resulting in forward momentum and tangible results.
WHAT YOUR DAY MIGHT LOOK LIKE
- Mentor, and lead of a team of Producers, including Leads.
- Represent the teams and game with the ability to respond to all status queries or feedback on all aspects of the game to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Work with leadership, marketing & product to help make product decisions using game and financial KPIs, in the context of franchise, studio and company objectives.
- Adapt decisions, direction, and priorities to maximize commercial aspects of the game in agreement with leadership and key stakeholders.
- Communicate those decisions and motivate the game team to deliver accordingly.
- Make pragmatic recommendations for enhancing and delivering the product vision, meeting/beating objectives, and for improving the strength of the team and its process.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in a senior leadership role that has shipped and/or maintained a AAA live service game.
- Minimum of 12 years industry experience in production, at least 4 in leadership role.
- Experience navigating a larger publishing organization, representing the team and leveraging external resources as needed.
- Strong understanding of the challenges and solutions in live service multiplayer games.
- Demonstrable ability to lead complex, multi-functional projects and facilitate positive outcomes for all parties.
- Proven mentorship and management expertise.
- Experience and passion for FPS's and Sci-Fi a plus.
