A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PRODUCTION AG ACCOUNT MANAGER

As a Production Ag Account Manager, you focus on delivering tailored solutions to our customers. You maintain expertise in John Deere and other competitive equipment, advising clients on new and used machinery, advanced technology, and value-added services. Direct customer interaction is key as you assess needs, appraise trade-ins, and develop sales plans using CRM software. Your agronomy knowledge guides recommendations for optimizing farming operations with modern techniques. You also monitor competitors, oversee equipment delivery and training, and participate in demonstrations. Staying updated on incentives and financing options ensures competitive offerings. Your role supports customer relationships and advances sustainable agriculture by simplifying operations and enhancing productivity with innovative solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledge of current agricultural issues
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Ability to operate, mount, dismount, hook up, secure, and transport equipment safely
  • Ability to sit, stand, and squat for extended periods of time
  • Ability to communicate with customers and team members and form excellent customer relationships
  • Ability to competently use computerized tools and reports
  • Ability to negotiate and use math knowledge
  • Ability and willingness to mentor inexperienced candidates
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends

Preferred qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or agriculture-related field
  • 3+ years of account management or direct sales experience in agricultural farm equipment or related field
