This leadership role requires a dynamic individual dedicated to quality resident care and professional staff development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Oversight: Direct, supervise, and support the nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care and adherence to facility standards.
- Care Quality: Develop, implement, and monitor protocols to maintain and enhance the quality of care and improve patient outcomes.
- Compliance: Ensure the facility and nursing practices comply with federal and state regulations, including those specific to skilled nursing facilities.
- Staff Development: Oversee the recruitment, training, and professional growth of nursing staff, creating a supportive and growth-oriented work environment.
- Budget Management: Manage the nursing department's budget, ensuring resources are used effectively to maintain staffing levels and provide necessary equipment and supplies.
- Resident & Family Relations: Act as a point of contact for residents and their families, addressing concerns with empathy and ensuring satisfaction with care services.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the facility administrator, physicians, and department heads to coordinate and optimize resident care.
- Policy Development: Establish, review, and enforce facility policies to uphold a culture of safety, respect, and professionalism.
- Quality Improvement: Lead quality improvement initiatives and participate in quality assurance activities to continually enhance care standards.
- Current RN license in good standing in the state of California.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of nursing experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations governing skilled nursing facilities.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, resources, and staff effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, with a strong commitment to compassionate, resident-centered care.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and documentation practices.
- Ability to stand and move around the facility for extended periods.
- Ability to occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds.
- Competitive annual salary ranging from $130,000 to $140,000.
