General Role Description: Monitor and assess the business unit's (BU) quality assurance program, ensuring manufacturing and supplier compliance with system design and standards
Role Accountabilities:
- Recommend quality metrics to drive supplier improvements, preventive actions, and business results, and implement as approved
- Direct and coordinate the overall quality specifications and standards for materials and finished products to meet client purchase order requirements
- Analyze needs and develop criteria for selecting suppliers who consistently provide high-quality products and systems for integration into the Company's solutions
- Monitor and analyze non-conformance data; recommend, develop, and implement appropriate responses in collaboration with procurement management
- Monitor supplier RCA's and CAR's for timely and thorough generation and distribution, escalating as necessary
- Evaluate new suppliers' manufacturing and quality processes, utilizing the Company's supplier qualification system
- Ensure quality assurance assessments at established supplier and client sites are performed in compliance with Company requirements
- Provide management with timely updates on vendor compliance status, trends, process improvements, and similar measures
- Ensure all warranty claims and failures in the field are investigated and root cause analysis is performed
- Perform internal and external audits and facilitate action plans for non-conformers
- Train employees on ISO-9001, statistical techniques, problem solving and quality awareness
- Create and update policies, procedures, standards, and work instructions to promote continuous improvement across production and business operations
- Develop processes that effectively reduce shop floor deviation and waste
- Develop the path to achieve integrated business management in accordance with ISO standards
- Manage and lead internal and external audit program, ensuring that all processes meet established standards
- Perform vendor audits, recording and monitoring vendor quality and recommend improvements based on analysis
- Run monthly report of nonconforming items and scrap for management
- Develop standardized work processes and process improvements as requested by management
- Resolve problems ensuring quality needs are being met and manufacturing criteria are adhered to, escalating as necessary

Minimum Qualifications:
- BS degree in electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering; or related physical or applied science; or equivalent via education and/or work experience
- 3 years' related work in manufacturing, quality control, or design engineering with accountability for supplier quality assurance and selection
- 3 years' experience working in an ISO-9001, 2015 environment
- 3 years of experience with internal/external auditing, related to ISO 9001, 2015
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated continuous improvement in areas of responsibility
- Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts
- Demonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Ability to travel, domestically and internationally, up to 20%, sometimes with limited notice
Preferred Qualifications:
- QT-9 Management System Experience
- Demonstrated experience in utility scale PV inverter manufacturing
