This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Integrated Defensive Cyber Systems mission. The ideal candidate will have experience working on complex systems. This position is located near Lackland Air Force Base; all work is onsite.

Pay Range: Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00

Leidos is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the Systems Engineer to work in our San Antonio, TX office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Integrated Defensive Cyber Systems mission. The ideal candidate will have experience working on complex systems. This position is located near Lackland Air Force Base; all work is onsite.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain systems engineering design, integration, troubleshooting, testing, and documentation/diagrams documentation and diagrams
- Support engineers of other disciplines in the design, integration, and security posture of products
- Research and develop technical and programmatic systems Concept of Operations (CONOPS) for new and existing capabilities
- Collaborate with the test team to ensure their test plans validate customer requirements
- Support the achievement of Authority to Operate (ATO) awards and all associated artifacts
- Support site Information Systems Security Officers (ISSOs) when required
- Perform systems management and integration functions.
- Develop data and component modeling of customized information technology solutions for a wide variety of large systems to support the Branch.
- Provide Services Oriented Architecture (SOA) that includes governance issues as well as software deployments.
- Collaborate and contribute in the development of new technologies and architectural advancements.
- Review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations for best practices.
Basic Qualifications
- BA degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Master's with 6+ years of prior relevant experience; additional years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree.
- In-depth expertise in Jira and Confluence for project tracking and collaboration
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, able to effectively engage diverse audiences
- Extensive experience in Agile methodologies, with proficiency in managing the software development life cycle (SDLC), test-driven development (TDD), software test planning, and test automation
- Must possess an active Secret clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance is required to be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with defensive cyber
- Prior experience supporting Air Force Cyber or Cyber Command
- Prior experience with AFLCMC/HNCD
