Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager/Business Development Manager to lead and expand our business development efforts in the Southern Florida/Miami market. The ideal candidate will have an established network, proven track record of driving growth, building strategic partnerships, and leading a team to achieve ambitious targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement business development strategies that align with the Firm's overall objectives and drive growth while promoting a single culture, with standards and values that cut across practices, facilitating the integration of new people and organizations into the operation (ONE LLYC).
  • Market Expansion: Lead the positioning of the Firm in the market, directing the appropriate promotion, marketing and institutional relations plans while identifying and pursuing new market opportunities to expand the Firm's footprint and increase market share.
  • Partnership Development: Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and industry leaders.
  • Sales Leadership: Lead and mentor the sales team to achieve or exceed revenue targets. Set performance goals, track progress, and provide ongoing feedback and support.
  • Client Relationship Management: Oversee key client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and long-term engagement.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for business development activities, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Operational Leadership: Coordinate, monitor, and control the operational functioning of business development by directing the growth plans developed by the client leaders and ensure that the operation implements the initiatives designed by the Chief Client Officer (who reports to the Global CEO) for segmented clients.
  • Program & Project Development: Develop and execute a proprietary business plan that generates high-level, high-impact new business opportunities.
  • Strategic Alignment: Integrate direct and supervise the execution of the commercial plans of the two practice areas (corporate affairs and marketing) and their capabilities.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain relationships with strategic partners and clients, generating trust and positioning the brand effectively.
  • Reporting: Provide regular reports to the CEO/Regional Director on business development activities, sales performance, market trends, and operational outcomes.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing business development team. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in a related business development or sales leadership role within the professional services industry.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and expanding market presence.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of market dynamics and business strategy.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, MS Office, and data analysis tools.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
