As Project Lead Engineer Hardware Design HVDC Control & Protection, you will work within a team of HVDC project management and technical specialists to design and deliver complete HVDC control and protection solutions for wind farm and interconnector grid connections. Reporting to the HVDC C&P Project Manager and the CP organization, you will be required to deliver technical work packages in line with project and business objectives.

As Project Lead Engineer Hardware Design HVDC Control & Protection, you will work within a team of HVDC project management and technical specialists to design and deliver complete HVDC control and protection solutions for wind farm and interconnector grid connections. Reporting to the HVDC C&P Project Manager and the CP organization, you will be required to deliver technical work packages in line with project and business objectives.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Preparing offers and project management for the hardware of control and protection systems (Control & Protection) for high-voltage direct current transmission systems (HVDC) regarding deadlines, costs, and quality.
- Overseeing the technical management of the C&P Hardware offer / order processing team and will coordinate closely with the project management and the technical specialists from various hardware engineering areas.
- Responsible for planning, monitoring, and controlling the offer / order processing including technical conception, delimitation of the scope of delivery, scheduling / resource planning, costing, quality control and management of opportunities and risks
- Task will also include reporting, information management, revision, and order completion as well as the implementation of process and design reviews
- BS degree in Electrical engineering, electrical power engineering or a comparable degree.
- You have 5+ years of professional experience in Substation Protection & Control design, as well as experience in project management.
- Ideally, you have intercultural experience and are willing to go on business trips (customer clarification, IBS support) up to 30%.
- You can technically navigate and converse in the areas of converter technology, high voltage technology and control technology.
- Ideally, you can demonstrate knowledge of HVDC technology and systems engineering.
- Extensive knowledge in taking care of MS Office applications and PM tools to round off your profile.
- Fluent in English
