Your Opportunity
As a Land Survey Project Manager, you will perform public record research and calculations to resolve property boundaries and rights of way; review survey technician's work and serve as project manager on various sized survey projects. The role of a project manager is to use their technical understanding and experience to lead a project team on various survey projects to deliver exceptional quality, maintain high client satisfaction, and manage project financials.

The role of a project manager is to use their technical understanding and experience to lead a project team on various survey projects to deliver exceptional quality, maintain high client satisfaction, and manage project financials.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate the technical aspects of projects.
- Responsible for survey calculations, analysis and final map checking, abstracting title data, record drawings research, and client relations.
- Sign and seal survey documents.
- Monitor projects from initiation through delivery, interfacing with clients on technical and surveying matters.
- Works directly with project team members, to include registered surveyors, engineers, and technical and survey staff.
- Coordinate activities of field crews, including providing job assignments, information, direction, and daily checking of work production.
- Write descriptions of property boundary surveys for use in deeds, leases, or other legal documents.
- Develop and manage project scope, budget, staffing, and schedules.
- Conduct quality assurance and quality control.
- Foster a culture of collaboration by being both an effective team leader and player.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Requires advanced knowledge of local survey laws, surveying principles, techniques and procedures, occupational hazards, and safety precautions.
- Demonstrate advanced skills in survey processing software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective leader and communicator with team and clients.
- Well-developed understanding of general concepts of relevant areas of survey work.
- Working knowledge of relevant technical software including AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Working knowledge of field instrumentation, GPS, and robotic total stations.
- Ability to solve complex problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation.
- Demonstrate strong math skills, including algebra and trigonometry.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Geomatics, Surveying or related field preferred.
- Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) in the State of California
- Minimum of 10 years of experience
