This highly visible bilingual role in Montreal will report to the Director of the Strategic Initiatives PMO that has oversight of far-reaching, company-wide projects and programs. The successful candidate will work with senior leadership of the Canadian organization and in close collaboration with the VP of Business Innovation, Transformation, Shared Services and General Manager of ADP Québec.

They will collaborate with ADP Project Teams to manage enterprise initiatives throughout discovery, execution and closure with a focus on value creation. They will ensure internal and external partners who may represent multiple functions and relationships, understand and adhere to key timeframes and quality goals, and will ensure resources are shared dynamically to meet the demands of specific areas.

What you'll do: Responsibilities

What you can expect on a typical day:
  • Executes the Project Management methodology with a focus on leading projects from inception to completion, managing tasks throughout the project life cycle while maximizing the stakeholder relationships at all levels and providing a unified experience.
  • Shepherds projects with an eye to effective change management: ensuring project success includes post-launch adoption and adherence.
  • Gains commitment, alignment and engagement from all Project Team Members and adherence to project management standards in pursuit of ADP's Major Accounts Services' mission, vision and values of providing World Class Service.
  • Influences and manages the collective performance of a Project Team that may span multiple business units and adheres to project management standards of overall Implementation methodology, tools and processes.
  • Collaborates and maintains project control within a highly virtual and matrix-managed environment by expertly overseeing development, communication and execution of all project goals.
  • Plans, schedules and controls the activities of complex business projects.
  • Monitors all project deliverables through the generation, maintenance, distribution and communication of key project documents, to ensure processes are followed and goals achieved.
  • Manages relationships and acts as single point of contact and escalation for all key project stakeholders.
  • Maintains the Project Team's focus on exceeding stakeholder expectations.
  • Proactively contacts stakeholders during the process to assess satisfaction and the team's ability to deliver a comprehensive solution.
  • Monitors quality and productivity using established metrics.
  • Develops professional relationships with ADP associates from other business units and leverages those relationships to ensure a quality project experience.
  • Anticipates and oversees escalated project issues and assures that the responsibility for resolution is assigned and resolved by the appropriate Project Team Members.
  • Provides appropriate feedback to team members and management regarding overall team performance as well as individual performance in achieving project goals.
  • Creates, modifies and deploys the PM framework for all project managed initiatives.
  • Ensures appropriate project health reporting is in place and reviewed for risk assessment.
  • Establishes clearly defined goals and objectives.
  • Establishes action plans to monitor progress against set goals and address gaps accordingly.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE: Requirements
  • 10+ years of project management experience in software, tech or telecom.
  • Consulting experience highly desired.
  • Ability to effectively communicate through all mediums (verbal, listening, written), including with C-level executives.
  • Proven ability to effectively lead a team.
  • Knowledge of functional areas, plus in-depth knowledge of related company products is a nice to have.
  • Demonstrate project leadership skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office Applications, including MS Project.
  • Demonstrated project leadership.
  • Demonstrated conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (persuasion, motivation).
  • Excellent analysis skills.
  • Strong relationship building/networking skills.
  • Results-orientation/exceeding client expectations.

*Quebec candidates: While French is required for Quebec-based roles, use of the English language is also required due to the global nature of the business and the need to interact with ADP's headquarters and international sites.

Bonus points for these: Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent in education and experience required.
  • Professional certifications (PMP).
