Job Summary
The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Marketing and Communications is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing, communications, and brand strategy that supports the ongoing growth of Envision Unlimited. The SVP will lead initiatives to promote the organization's programs, build its brand presence, and engage stakeholders across multiple channels. The role will evolve with the organization's expansion and focus on industry-standard marketing practices such as audience segmentation, omnichannel marketing, and digital transformation. The SVP will scale the Marketing and Communications team to meet the demands of a growing organization and create systems that ensure continued brand growth and awareness.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).

- Strategic Brand Development and Awareness
- NEW: Create a long-term brand strategy that positions Envision Unlimited as a leader in health and human services, expanding beyond IDD to include broader mental health and integrated care services.
- NEW: Develop omnichannel marketing strategies that increase brand awareness across digital, social, earned media, and traditional channels.
- NEW: Implement audience segmentation and targeted messaging strategies to communicate more effectively with specific stakeholder groups, including donors, members, government agencies, and the general public.
- NEW: Launch a brand awareness campaign that highlights Envision Unlimited's comprehensive care model, including thought leadership content, paid advertising, influencer partnerships, and media outreach.
2. Scalable Marketing & Communications Infrastructure
- NEW: Scale the marketing and communications function in tandem with the organization's projected growth, ensuring that the team has the resources, talent, and technology to support program expansion and geographic reach.
- Build systems for real-time tracking of marketing performance (e.g., CRM tools, marketing automation platforms) to increase efficiency and data-driven decision-making.
- Lead digital transformation efforts, including upgrading marketing technology (MarTech) stacks to support personalized campaigns, content management, and analytics.
3. Digital Strategy & Social Media Management
- Expand the digital marketing strategy, integrating SEO/SEM, social media, and content marketing to drive engagement and lead generation across channels.
- NEW: Implement advanced social listening tools and analytics to measure sentiment, brand perception, and impact of digital campaigns.
- Scale social media presence, aiming for 15-20% growth in engagement metrics annually, leveraging emerging platforms and interactive content formats (e.g., live streaming, virtual events).
4. Thought Leadership & Public Relations
- Lead a comprehensive public relations strategy that positions Envision Unlimited as a thought leader in the healthcare sector.
- NEW: Partner with external thought leaders, influencers, and health organizations to elevate the organization's voice in the national dialogue on disability and mental health services.
- NEW: Develop a reputation management strategy to proactively manage the organization's public image, ensuring positive sentiment and alignment with its mission.
5. Strategic Oversight of Events & Campaign Promotion
- Continue to manage the promotion of organizational events, but with a greater focus on integrating multimedia storytelling and personalized donor engagement strategies.
- NEW: Utilize AI-driven marketing to create personalized email and social media series for donor and sponsor engagement, optimizing content delivery for each segment of the audience.
- Elevate the organization's annual gala and events by incorporating new sponsorship opportunities, virtual engagement components, and multi-platform promotional campaigns.
6. Internal Communications and Stakeholder Engagement
- NEW: Oversee internal communications strategies to ensure alignment across all departments and promote the organization's growth goals to staff and leadership.
- Develop a more sophisticated employee engagement communication strategy, incorporating feedback mechanisms, updates on organizational growth, and alignment with brand values.
7. Data-Driven Marketing & Analytics
- NEW: Integrate data-driven marketing strategies that incorporate predictive analytics and customer data insights to optimize campaigns and measure success.
- Track key marketing KPIs (e.g., brand awareness, donor acquisition, member engagement) and adjust strategies based on performance.
- Build out a comprehensive dashboard for leadership to view marketing metrics in real-time, ensuring transparency and strategic alignment.
8. Leadership & Team Development
- Scale the Marketing and Communications team to meet the organization's needs as it expands regionally and into new service lines, ensuring each function (digital, content, design, public relations) is adequately staffed and supported.
- NEW: Establish cross-functional teams to collaborate with program directors and ensure consistent branding and communication of new service offerings.
- Provide high-level mentorship and development opportunities to team members to foster a culture of innovation and creativity within the marketing department.
9. Crisis Communication Management
- NEW: Develop and implement a crisis communication plan that prepares the organization for proactive and reactive responses to potential reputational challenges.
- Manage communications during organizational changes, crises, or issues that could impact Envision Unlimited's public standing, ensuring timely, transparent messaging.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
Experience:
- 12+ years of marketing, communications, or public relations experience, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience in building and executing omnichannel marketing strategies.
- Demonstrated success in leading large-scale brand awareness and digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience in nonprofit marketing, particularly in health services or IDD, preferred.
Skills:
- Expertise in data-driven marketing, analytics, and campaign optimization.
- Leadership in managing crisis communications and complex, high-stakes public relations.
- Strong strategic thinking, project management, and team development skills.
- Proficiency in digital marketing platforms (CRM, marketing automation, analytics).
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
