Position descriptionAcademic Surgical Pathologist Department of Pathology University of California, San FranciscoThe Department of Pathology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), is seeking an outstanding candidate for a full-time clinical faculty position as a Surgical Pathologist. The academic appointment will be at the rank of Health Sciences Clinical Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the Health Sciences Clinical or Clinical X series, depending on level of experience and qualifications. Qualified candidates must hold an MD (or its equivalent), have or be eligible for a valid California Medical License, and be either Board Eligible or Board Certified in Anatomic Pathology by the time of appointment.All applicants must have or will have completed fellowship training within anatomic pathology or have its equivalent in clinical experience (3 or more years of sign out experience) at the time of appointment. Applicant’s materials must list (pending) qualifications upon submission. Interest and/or experience in at least two pathology subspecialties is strongly preferred.The desirable candidate will have outstanding diagnostic and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in a multidisciplinary environment, as well as interest in scholarly activities in their specialty area. The minimum base salary range for this position is $102,600 - $393,200.
