We’ll enable growth and progress together.The Role:This Senior Cognos Reporting Engineer will produce reports and interactive analytics dashboards using the Cognos Analytics (v11.1) platform in the Chief Information Security Office (CISO). This role focuses on gathering and disseminating business intelligence, data management, data analysis, documentation, and effective communication all within a strong team oriented environment. Candidates with strong experience in Cybersecurity and Information Security (IS) are highly preferred. ResponsibilitiesCreate new Cognos reports, maintain existing reports, and author complex reports with at a high level of sophistication and formattingWrite Business and Technical requirements documents Create and maintain a library of Information Security documentsDesign data sets suitable for Analytics and create intuitive Cognos Analytics dashboardsSupport operations in monthly reporting producing monthly and periodic reports on designated IS programs and other assigned topicsWork with the IS program owners, gather IS risk data from them, process the data as needed, and produce IS reports and metricsMaintain the reports as neededWork with structured and unstructured data and be able to answer questions about the dataConsistently consider business enablement while reaching balanced information risk judgmentsPerform ongoing quality checks (QC) on one's own and others' reports revising any formatting and data issuesAbility to review source data, compare it with the PDF reports, and spot discrepancies or issues Create, maintain, and improve the interactive analytics dashboards with appropriate data visualizationsQualificationsMinimum of 6+ years' experience working in Information Security or Cybersecurity (preferred focus in Financial Services industry) with at least 3 years' experience in Data Reporting2+ years' experience with Data Modeling using advanced data modeling conceptsStrong understanding of ETL, SQL, databases, tables, and data design conceptsAdvanced concepts of PowerPoint-based reports in Cognos, automatic report generation, and distributionStrong in proficiency in Cognos report authoring Ability to build queries and manipulate data where necessaryAdvanced proficiency in crafting data sets needed to support interactive analytics Data analysis, manipulation and data design skills are an absolute must  Must have a keen eye for numbers with the ability to self-quality check one's reports and data ensuring presentation data is concise and accurateExcellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills Effective and clear communication to senior management, internal business users, and other stakeholders utilizing a customer-oriented approach with resourcefulness and enthusiasmExpert proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word Ability to present materials in a format that facilitates senior management decision makingAdept at multitasking and time management with the ability to remain calm under pressure and meet deadlinesAbility to produce, modify and present precise and well-crafted reportsExpert presentation skills delivering reports and data analysis artifacts to stakeholders in clear, easily understood formats in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, or PDF documentsBe able to construct queries and manipulate the data when necessary Strong sense of ownership and commitment to producing the best quality workStrong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to analyze and present the data from different anglesAbility to automate tasks where possible for optimizationEducationBachelor's degree required or equivalent experience Masters in Data Science or related field preferredAny industry accredited Information Security certifications are a plusThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
