Timberline Knolls is recruiting for a psychiatrist to join our Medical Staff. Timberline Knolls is the premier program in the eating disorder arena, distinguished for its comprehensive approach and effectiveness in treatment.

 

We treat Adolescents & Teenagers (Ages 13-17), Adults (Ages 18+), Seniors (Ages 65+)

Our RTC is located on 43 tranquil acres in the suburbs of Chicago. Residential treatment at Timberline Knolls includes a state-approved school for adolescents and 24-hour-a-day, 7-day-per-week medical care. Our intensive, holistic treatment model results in a depth of recovery that is transformational for residents and fulfilling for our staff.

 

The team at Timberline Knolls is comprised of medical and clinical experts in treatment for eating disorders, drug and alcohol addiction, mood and anxiety disorders, and co-occurring disorders.

  • Licensed Psychiatrist in the state of Illinois
  • Board Certification required
  • Ability to work hours to meet the needs of our clients
  • Experience in addiction & eating disorder treatment is definte plus

Responsibilities:

Summary:

  • Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility.
  • Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.
  • Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.
  • Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
  • Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
  • Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner.
  • Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.


Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
  • One or more years post graduate degree practice preferred.
  • Licensed in the the state in which the facility(s) operate.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Board certification in psychiatry
  • Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
