Description

Directs the overall corporate relations program for the UH System. Plans and carries out strategies, solicits gifts and coordinates system-wide activities that result in the greatest possible philanthropic investments from corporate donors.
  1. Manages the University of Houston's most important corporate donor relationships, coordinating solicitation, stewardship and engagement strategies with those donors across the University of Houston as well as the UH System.
  2. Serves as a single point of contact at the University for corporate donors of $5 million or more to ensure their engagement experience is a positive one.
  3. Leads a team of Corporate Relations gift officers in the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of corporate donors for the University Advancement division, including management responsibility over multiple positions.
  4. Coordinates with college-based Development colleagues on the development and implementation of corporate giving strategies for their respective fundraising business plans.
  5. Advises University collaborators, including University leadership, Deans, faculty and administrators-on practices and protocols around working with corporate donors.
  6. Oversees the preparation of proposals and other documentation/communication.
  7. Administers the department's budget and personnel.
  8. Performs other job-related duties as required.

Qualifications

Bachelors and 7 years experience

Education - Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.Experience - Requires a minimum of seven (7) years of directly job-related experience.Preferred: Experience in fundraising, business development or marketing within a large national or international organization.
