What You Will Be Doing We are seeking to hire a Production Manager at our site in Chelmsford MA. In this role, you will be responsible for day-to-day assembly & test operations across a portion of the microelectronics product teams in Chelmsford, MA. You will manage the manufacturing supervisors and a non-represented workforce of assembly & test technicians. You will be responsible for leading the team in support of meeting customer deliveries on-time, within operational goals, and without defect. The expectation is to drive change in our microelectronics shop to promote future competitiveness and to ensure a healthy and successful culture is maintained. You will be accountable for meeting production goals in support of all the programs and ensuring that our workforce has an advocate to remove obstacles along with promoting a positive culture that yields increased employee morale. You will need to have a background in electronics manufacturing, and hybrid chip/wire experience is preferred, along with printed wiring board, circuit card assembly, and general assembly. Other desired traits include: knowledge of quality processes, manpower management, budget management, and lean principles. Multifunctional collaboration is essential as this role will be partnered with another production manager at the site. The Locale: Chelmsford is a charming suburb of Boston, located about 25 miles northwest of the city and near historic Lowell and Nashua, NH. It's close to New Hampshire's White Mountains and ski areas to the north, while the scenic coastal towns of MA and NH are about an hour east. This colonial region features New England charm, great schools, shopping, and dining. From Chelmsford, Cape Cod is about 90 minutes away, New York City is 4.5 hours, and major ski resorts in New Hampshire and Vermont are 2 to 3 hours north. Basic Qualifications: • Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education • Prior experience in a role leading leaders • Prior experience as a supervisor • Prior experience as a production lead • Experience effectively communicating with internal and external customers • Knowledge of hybrid microelectronics, PWB, and CCA manufacturing processes • Demonstrated knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma / Flow • Demonstrated experience working with MRP systems • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to resolve conflicting priorities with complex resource constraints • Proven ability to receive guidance from senior leadership, interpret it, and flow down to the team in a digestible manner • Requires ability to obtain/maintain Secret level clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Desired Skills: • Proven ability to work through problems quickly and effectively; establish level of engagement required and define the timeline to resolution • Apriso Experience • Experience with managing cross-functional relationships to achieve goals • CAM Experience • Knowledge of electrical quality control processes • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Self-Starter Personality; Ability to multitask Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
