Job Description
We are looking for a self-motivated, ambitious team-player to fill a key Outside Sales Representative role with our growing organization. VanZandt Controls and Eagle Automation is expanding our vast product offerings into multiple verticals. This role will focus on opportunities and customers outside the oil and gas fields. Utilities, semi-conductor, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, pulp and paper, refining, mining, and chemicals to name a few. This role will allow us to leverage our differentiated business model to rapidly grow sales.
Responsibilities
This role will be the primary sales contact in the northern half of Colorado and Wyoming. The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for leading sales efforts, business development, strengthening relationships and securing new business for the Company. The candidate must be able to articulate to both business and technical users how our technology, products and services can best meet our customers' needs. The Outside Sales Representative must also be able to draft quotes and proposals to help win business for the Company.
Additional responsibilities would include utilizing our ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and Contact Relationship Management (CRM) systems effectively to track leads, produce quotes, and convert quotes to sales orders. The position requires frequent open communication with the VP of Sales, VP/GM for the Rockies Region, inside sales, and the rest of the VanZandt Controls and Eagle Automation team. The ideal candidate sought will excel in a fast-paced environment, be able to quickly learn the technical nature of our product portfolio, stay organized, and understand the needs of our rapidly growing customer base.
This role reports directly to the VP of Sales with dotted line reporting to the VP/GM of the Rockies Region. Due to the importance of this role, the applicant will have direct interaction and mentorship from our high-energy and experienced senior leadership team. The position is based out of our Greeley, CO office.

Job Duties:
- Create customer quotes and sales orders for our product and services offerings (Inside Sales support staff available for support)
- Prospect, develop, strengthen, and maintain Valve Automation, Flow Measurement and Instrumentation customers
- Work closely with the senior management team to manage and develop relationships with target customers
- Utilize ERP and CRM systems to maintain communication records, create quotes and sales orders
- Manage and execute key sales initiatives and ensure customer satisfaction
- Learn and incorporate new products, service capabilities, sales tactics, tools, and processes
- Ensure customer satisfaction
- Assist in marketing efforts
- Attend training to expand knowledge of offered products
- Regular and reliable attendance
Required Qualifications:
- Proven outside sales success with 3+ years of experience (Technical sales preferred)
- Proven success at securing new accounts
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Highly self-motivated and disciplined
- Team player
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to travel out of town and/or overnight
- Must successfully compete pre-employment screening requirements including background check, MVR and drug screen
