THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a Security Systems Sales Representative for our security business. The Sales Rep's focus will be on developing new opportunities via contractors and end-users by managing and growing the business through new construction, renovations, and retrofits within their assigned territory.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (and doing well!)
  • Sell cloud-focused, off-premise security systems and other related systems; achieve orders/booking and gross margin goals.
  • Achieve annual quota assigned and agreed upon by General Manager or Sales Manager on a consistent basis after initial ramp up period.
  • Create new market share by selling a broad range of products and services to new customers.
  • Demonstrate strong prospecting skills and the ability to build customer relationships through consultative selling and promoting customer confidence in Sciens. Search for and qualify opportunities on an ongoing basis; follow up with prospects in a timely manner.
  • Conduct post-installation follow up by contacting customers, ensuring commitments were met and affirming customer satisfaction once the customer has purchased a system.
  • Perform needs assessments, develops sales proposals, estimates, specifications, and presentations. Provide accurate forecast of activity and potential sales.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of complete line of products/services and customers' issues and needs through in-house training, networking, and research.
  • Utilize approved marketing materials to present sales presentations and proposals to prospects, assuring the customer understands our value proposition, positive features, and advantages of our products and services over those of the competition.
  • Independently establish call plans and customer follow up strategies and tactics; consistently apply time and territory management techniques.
  • Influence new construction specifications through engineering relationships and educational meetings/presentations.
  • Work with operations, finance, legal and other inside and outside resources as needed to obtain sales.
  • Develop and execute tactical sales strategies, including end users, developers, consulting engineers, and contractors.
  • Prepare sales promotion campaigns for customers to promote product lines to commercial markets.
  • Work within the company's CRM system and update database as required.

WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU
  • Two to five years meeting or exceeding quotas of selling cloud-based security systems to contractors and end users.
  • Consistent sales performance, ability to organically grow business by providing solutions to new client base.
  • In-depth understanding of cloud-based security systems, low voltage systems, installation, and testing.
  • Minimum of NICET level II-certified in fire alarm systems.
  • Technical aptitude with understanding of drawings and codes.
  • Experience selling technical solutions through the contracting tier.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to present before broad audiences.
  • Strong negotiation skills and competitive spirit.
  • Able to travel by air and/or ground overnight, as necessary.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred. Candidates with a combination of education and experience will also be considered.

COMPENSATION

$90,000 to $120,000 based on experience
