Amentum is now hiring for a Quality Assurance Engineer (All Levels) - CSIA position in support of the Cyber Security & Information Assurance (CSIA) Support Services office at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD and Ft Belvoir, VA. This project will provide the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM), Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Research (C5ISR) Center services to include programmatic/business management services, engineering support services, field engineering, laboratory, logistics, and acquisition / administrative support services to augment CSIA core Government personnel and turn-key solutions to support the missions of CSIA and its associated Managers and customers. This support will be conducted in close coordination with Government project leads within CSIA.

The candidate will work closely with the client to perform the following:
  • Plans and directs activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for manufacturing processes, materials, products, and/or business systems. Develops and implements standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation relative to the organization's quality management system.
  • Assures compliance of organization's products and processes.
  • Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality data.
  • Assures that products leaving the manufacturing or development organization are effective and free from defects or operational problems or errors.
  • Tests and assesses the effectiveness, accuracy, or safety of new products based on existing safety standards or performance guidelines.
  • Verifies the accuracy or performance of the product and troubleshoots the correction of any problems or issues.
  • Tests the product, using it both as recommended and also as not intended.
  • Thinks of how consumers may use the product incorrectly to reduce liability and other legal issues for the organization.
  • Discusses new products to be tested with the development team and the manufacturing group.
  • Meets with the production team to share results and recommendations.
  • Maintains a working relationship with key customer procurement organizations to the benefit of the customer.
  • Ensures supplier products shipped to customers meet applicable organizational and contractual requirements.
  • Possesses creativity and understanding of the product and the goals of the company.
  • Reviews technical publications, articles, and abstracts to stay abreast of technical developments in industry.
  • May assume responsibility for testing the item under various working conditions or for verifying the information that the item provides in the case of computer software programs.
  • May give feedback on the user-friendly or unfriendly aspects of the product.
  • May provide ideas for modifications and improvements.
  • Has experience in providing development of project Quality Assurance Plans and the implementation of procedures that conforms to the requirements of the contract.
  • Provides an independent assessment of how the project's development process is being implemented relative to the defined process and recommends methods to optimize the organization's process.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business or other technical discipline.
  • 1-10+ years' experience.
  • 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
  • Must have an Active TOP SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a TOP SECRET Clearance.


Compensation:

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $85,000 - $225,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.).
