The work:

Senior Software Developer has demonstrable experience in DevSecOps, S.O.L.I.D. design principles, and technical leadership. Performs development, system integration, and testing engineering activities in accordance with Agile methodologies as defined in the DoDI 5000.87. Will serve as a key leader of the software development team within an Agile Release Train. Responsibilities include analyzing features, extracting use cases, and writing code to address specified requirements within user stories; guide technical discussions in daily scrum meetings, sprint backlog refinement, demonstrations, and sprint planning, testing code, and consistently drives "clean code" practices. Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze, design, and implement use-case centric architecture
  • Mentor and lead mid-level developers in following standards and design
  • Develops, deploys, and supports source code for UX and back-end containerized, cloud-based solutions within an Agile delivery team using DevSecOps best practices
  • Develops monitoring, alerting systems, and logging practices to help stakeholders stay informed of performance in real-time
  • Conducts Technology Readiness and Technology Readiness Level (TRL) Assessments
  • Performs cost analysis, develops acquisition strategies, and becomes familiar with the full suite of program capabilities to provide recommendations to strategies and goals
  • Provide mobile application design, integration and development on current and future approved mobile end-user-devices to include and leverage the use of sensor or recording capabilities
  • Develop and maintain Test Plans and Procedures in accordance with Agile methodologies in partnership with the Army MTEAC program office for each MVP and MVCR delivered for integration into the suite of capabilities
  • Develop and deploy automated software patches to enable remote download and installation by SAs.

Here's what you need:
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline plus 5 years of experience in the software development and high-volume enterprise systems (8 years of relevant experience may be substituted for education)
  • Experience creating software in a variety of programming and for a variety of IT software applications
  • Experience in a variety of business systems and applications
  • Experience in designing, testing, debugging and documenting software
  • Frontend experience with one or more of the following: JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Angular
  • Experience using automated testing solutions for supporting Agile, DevSecOps (CI/CD, Jenkins, GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes and/or Red Hat OpenShift) and rapid engineering methodologies

Bonus points:
  • Backend experience such as Rest APIs - Java Frameworks - Springboot, Java, MySQL, PostgreSQL
  • DoD experience strongly preferred

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience. $88,600-$178,600 USD
