Reporting to the Global Technology Leader for CCRO in the DuPont Water Solutions business, the CCRO Applications Engineer will be responsible for supporting sales growth of closed-circuit reverse osmosis (CCRO) through the technical support of commercial opportunities in industrial and municipal markets. The majority of supported activities will be within North America; however, the Water Solutions business is a global business, and you will be interacting frequently with your worldwide colleagues to maintain a competitive advantage. In addition to your responsibilities for pilots in this region, you will be a technical resource for opportunities overseas.

Please note our teams do work a hybrid schedule which is 3 days onsite and 2 days remote. Candidates should live within a commutable distance to one of our water offices or technical centers. Preferred locations are Wilmington, DE USA, Edina, MN USA, Midland, MI USA, Marlborough, MA USA.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • The function of this role is to provide technical support to the DuPont Water Solutions commercial team and other stakeholders to support opportunities at all stages from inquiry to order.
  • Partner with the commercial team to support delivery of the business plan, by clearly identifying customer's needs and leading the development of technical solution(s)
  • Interpret technical specifications and bid documents as applicable and identify technical and commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Develop process solutions to meet customer's need and position these solutions to win.
  • Lead the proposal preparation effort for budgetary and firm proposals.
  • Prepare antiscalant and system design projections.
  • Work with cost estimating to prepare detailed cost estimates and facilitate project pricing.
  • Develop technical proposals, including process descriptions, scopes of work, equipment lists, performance guarantees.
  • Work with commercial pilots' technical focal point to incorporate pilot learnings into full-scale system design for proposal and guarantees as applicable.
  • Present proposed solutions at customer meetings as required.
  • Support industry trade shows and events as the technology expert. Participation includes presenting technical papers and presentations at conferences and in industry journals.
  • Develop project Handover Packages and turnover project documentation to the execution team.
  • Provide process support to the operations team during project execution.
  • Identify new opportunities/product gaps and represent customer needs to the Technology Leader
  • Travel for this position will be approximately 10%.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering or related fields.
  • Demonstrated leadership and credibility.
  • 5 years of Experience with nanofiltration and reverse osmosis technologies.
  • Knowledge and experience in a variety of water treatment processes is desirable, including:
  • Process water treatment processes, including clarification, media filtration, carbon absorption, softening, and specialty media(s).
  • Membrane treatment processes, including micro-filtration, ultra-filtration.
