Industry leaders in the design, manufacture, and supply of precision electronic components for RF, microwave, and power applications. Components include standard off-the-shelf and custom-designed inductors, chips, chokes, coils, conicals, toroids, transformers, and magnetic devices in surface mount and axial-leaded (thru-hole) configurations that are used in a wide variety of electronic applications around the world. The company offers RoHS-compliant products as well as lead-containing components for QPL military/defense and other demanding requirements. Non-magnetic inductors are also available for situations where magnetic components would compromise system performance, as in medical imaging (MRI) equipment.

Position can be located anywhere in the Northeast.

Territory includes: NY, PA, VT, NH, ME, OH, MI, IN, WI, IL, MA, RI, CT, NJ, DE, MD, DC, East Canada

SUMMARY

The Regional Sales Manager - North America East will be responsible for nurturing and growing sales within the assigned territory. This includes managing key accounts, building and maintaining strong customer relationships, identifying and capturing new business opportunities, and achieving or exceeding sales and bookings targets. The ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial - results oriented mindset, a proven track record in sales account management, as well as experience driving growth through direct customer collaboration and the strategic use of rep and distributor networks.

This position will report to the Director of Sales, Magnetics and support sales activities for both the iNRCORE and Gowanda product lines within the iNRCORE Family of Brands.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: BS in Business Administration, or a technical field (i.e. Engineering); or equivalent experience.

.EXPERIENCE: Minimum of five (5) years of sales territory management experience in high reliability industries (i.e. space, defense, commercial aerospace, medical, etc.). Experience selling electronic components, or similar products. Experience with magnetic components is highly desired, but not required.

.KNOWLEDGE: Basic knowledge of electronics and familiarity with circuits.Basic understanding of component manufacturing processes and technology.

SKILLS: Nurturing relationships with key accounts; ability to fully identify customer needs and communicate them to the factory; prospecting of new opportunities through referrals, networking events, or other lead generation activities; ability to gain insight to market trends and monitor competitor activity; close collaboration with Customer Service and other functional leaders as needed to drive customer requirements; collaboration with Director of Sales on territory targets / budget, use of CRM software (MS Dynamics or similar) for customer activity tracking and forecasting, pricing, strong negotiation skills, and demonstrated excellence in communication (to include product / business presentations).

Proficiency using MS office products as need to drive results, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

SPECIFIC POSITION DUTIES
  • Collaborate with Director of Sales on creation of Annual Sales Budget, forecasting customer and product opportunities in the assigned region.
  • Meet or exceed assigned bookings and revenue targets for assigned territory.
  • Propose strategic use of rep and disty channels, or other means to drive growth in assigned territory.
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities in region through referrals, networking events, or other lead generation activities.
  • Work closely with Customer Service groups at iNRCORE FoB sites to initiate / validate quotes, and review / acceptance of purchase orders. Follow up on quote requests to Customer Service to identify full customer needs and explore iNRCORE FoB opportunities to provide additional value.
  • Negotiate price, delivery, terms and conditions, long term agreements, and contracts to optimize iNRCORE FoB growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Supply forecast, trip reports, sample feedback, marketing input, and other information to ensure excellent communication between customer and iNRCORE FoB sites.
  • Act as liaison between customers in region and functional leaders at iNRCORE FoB sites. Inform functional leaders on what is needed to obtain and/or maintain preferred / key vendor status at major customer accounts.
  • Work with design engineers at iNRCORE FoB site to capture new design wins by meeting customer requirements and maintaining compatibility with site design and manufacturing capabilities. Facilitate Engineer-to-Engineer discussions as needed.
  • Gain insights to customers needs, market trends, and competitive activity and provide input to product marketing and engineering.
  • Provide sales and bookings forecasts for region. This includes use of MS Dynamics CRM, and ability to analyze data using MS Excel (pivot tables, etc.) to provide important insights from the data.
  • Maintain up-to-date contact, account, and sales status information utilizing Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
  • This role requires the ability to travel up to 60% within the region. Individuals must have an active passport or ability to get one if needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.
