We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and modify torque tool systems. The applicant should be comfortable seeing a project from initial brainstorming, testing, analysis, design, and hands-on prototyping, to final delivery and documentation.

Responsibilities:
  • Technical Project Leadership of Electronic Systems Design for Torque Tools
  • Management of Project Schedule
  • Management of Subcontractors and Suppliers
  • Transition of Products from Development to Full Scale Production
  • Generation of Technical Documents (Proposals, Requirements Documents, Work-share)

Requirements:
  • 5 Years Minimum Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience
  • A Demonstrable Track Record of Successful Project Outcomes

Project Management Skills:
  • Communication - Verbal and Written

Technical Skills:
  • Brushless DC (BLDC) motor driver design and testing - MOSFET/IGBT
  • Familiar with various drive strategies such as trapezoidal and sine
  • Comfortable with Field Oriented Control algorithms
  • Testing and analysis of electromechanical systems
  • Analog and Digital Circuits
  • Embedded Microprocessors
  • Torque, Position and Speed Control
  • AC-DC power supplies (85 - 250Vac 50/60Hz)
  • Electro-Magnetic Interference
  • Fundamental Understanding of Microcontroller Programming
  • Ability to write and debug C code
  • Mechanical Packaging
  • Thermal Analysis
  • Reliability Analysis
  • Schematic design and PCB layout tools (Altium)
  • BOM creation and management

A Plus:
  • Familiar with Code Composer tools and TI processors
  • Knowledge of UL & CE Requirements
  • Experience with Industrial Electric Torque Tools
