WATER/WASTEWATER PRACTICE
Michael Baker International's Water/Wastewater Group provides innovative consulting, planning and engineering solutions for the entire spectrum of the water cycle. We have proven experience in providing a full range of professional services and technical analysis, concept through design, and construction support services. Our water and wastewater engineers plan, design, and support the construction of pipelines, pumping stations, reservoirs, and wells for water distribution systems, sewer collection systems, as well as water and wastewater treatment facilities.
DESCRIPTION
As a part of our Water/Wastewater Engineering team, this Civil Engineer will be involved in a variety of water and wastewater related projects, while performing the following duties:
REQUIREMENTS
Compensation: The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $155,000. This will be dependent on the expertise of the incoming candidate.

Protection and management of water resources starts at the watershed level and follows the movement of water through urban and agricultural areas, streams, lakes and reservoirs, water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, and water/wastewater treatment plants.

DESCRIPTION
As a part of our Water/Wastewater Engineering team, this Civil Engineer will be involved in a variety of water and wastewater related projects, while performing the following duties:
- Prepare construction drawings, technical specifications, and opinions of probable cost.
- Prepare design reports: Studies for Feasibility and Evaluation of Alternatives; Preliminary Design Reports
- Perform hydraulic calculations, equipment selection.
- Resolve technical issues
- Interface and coordinate with other engineering disciplines, subconsultants, equipment vendors, and municipal agencies to move designs forward.
- Perform construction support services: submittal reviews; RFI response; evaluation of change order requests
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- California PE license as a Civil Engineer
- 7+ years of planning and design experience specific to potable water, recycled water, and wastewater conveyance and collection facilities, such as pumping stations, pipelines, wells and storage facilities
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, MS Project.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation
