Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Initiative Execution: Lead cross-functional projects to solve Mach9's most pressing business & operational challenges, streamline operations, and drive growth.
- Operational Excellence: Develop and implement key operational processes to ensure efficient and scalable operations. Own operational workstreams such as quarterly OKR planning, business reviews, headcount planning, budgeting, and sales operations.
- Financial Management and Strategy: Establish and manage financial operations, including accounting, FP&A, and financial modeling, to support Mach9's rapid growth. Lead monthly / quarterly / yearly financial planning, support fundraising efforts, and manage investor relations.
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Support the development of go-to-market strategies, including pricing models and market sizing efforts. Collaborate with sales teams to move customers through the sales funnel and enhance customer acquisition and retention.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead cross-functional initiatives to drive Mach9's strategic goals, ensuring alignment across teams and optimizing collaboration. Act as a conduit between finance, legal, product, and sales functions to streamline communication and execution.
- Partnership with Finance and Legal: Work closely with finance and legal teams on customer and employee contracts, as well as regulatory matters.
- Problem Solving: Address diverse business challenges with resourcefulness and creativity to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Product and Market Insights: Conduct market research and gather product feedback to inform product development and market entry strategies. Engage with customers and stakeholders to understand needs and identify opportunities for product improvements.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics to inform strategic decisions. Build internal analytics tools and dashboards to track key performance metrics and support executive reporting.
Required Skills and Experience

- Financial Acumen: Strong background in financial modeling, corporate finance, and investor relations, with a proven track record of supporting successful fundraising rounds and managing financial operations.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Advanced proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving, utilizing tools such as SQL and Excel to drive insights and strategic decisions.
- Operational and Strategic Leadership: Experience in establishing and leading business operations in high-growth environments, with a focus on process optimization and strategic execution.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels and facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
- Adaptability and Initiative: Ability to thrive in a dynamic and ambiguous environment, demonstrating a proactive and resourceful approach to solving complex business challenges.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with data analysis tools, CRM systems, and financial software, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
Desired Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in a role related to finance, business operations, or consulting. We have a strong preference for candidates that have seen what greatness in BizOps / Finance looks like at other rapidly growing startups
- Deep experience with or interest in the industrials category, and specifically surveying and mapping technologies, including mobile mapping, UAVs, and aerial survey systems
