About the Team
As the window of TikTok's business services, our TikTok UED Monetization team aims to enable clients to effortlessly connect with audiences and maximize brand potential. We want to ease and inspire clients to achieve their goals, explore more possibilities, and create value with TikTok. You will lead the Creative GenAI design team, developing a wide range of cutting-edge AI products to transform the entire content creation processᅳfrom planning and ideation to production, iteration, and analytics. Supporting advertisers of all sizes, you will lead the team and guide projects from 0 to 1, incubating ideas and eventually achieving product-market fit.
About the role:
We're searching for a seasoned design leader to champion this vision. In this pivotal role, you'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to shape the vision, define the roadmap, and oversee day-to-day design execution.
Together with product managers, researchers, content designers, and engineers, you will be a crucial player in driving the future of our AI products. You have extensive experience as a product design manager, including experience in launching 0-1 products. You advocate for a user-centric design approach and are an expert who can translate complicated user problems into compelling opportunities and solutions. As a strategic systems thinker, you influence stakeholders on product prioritization by leveraging user feedback and emerging industry trends. Finally, you cultivate a collaborative and inclusive culture in the team.
As the design leader of the team, you will
- Establish collaborative partnerships with different product functions to unearth the perfect synergy between AI capabilities and user needs, inspiring the team to venture into uncharted territories. Have a proven track record of spearheading products launches from 0 to 1.
- Thrive in ambiguity, embracing it as an opportunity for innovation, and champions an iterative approach to drive design launches forward.
- Contribute significantly as a key member of the Product Design Leadership team, playing a crucial role in elevating the overall design team.
- Foster a workplace culture aligned with TikTok's core values, inspiring creativity and joy while leading a team of global talents.
- Mentor the team with compassion, oversee talent acquisition and development, and bring out their best work. Offer guidance and constructive feedback to designers, facilitating both project improvement and career growth opportunities.
- Facilitate projects, allocate resources, and foster consensus among stakeholders across time zones.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
• Experienced in designing and shipping end-to-end products involving deep technical domains, complex flows, multiple scenarios, and edge cases.
• Proven ability to empathize with and develop solutions for professional users, including Sales, Data Scientists, Client Success Engineers, and more.
• Ability to provide design variations and rational your design choices
• Ability to organize and communicate your thoughts and motivations with different audience
• A keen eye for visual UI details
Preferred Qualifications:
* Minimum 5 years of experience in product design settings.
• Ability to think at a high level about product strategy and vision
• Self-motivated and able to efficiently run with a project without close supervision
• Willing to adapt and contribute to design system; Working closely with your engineers to build components that seamlessly fit into a larger component library/style guide
• Love to discuss design in group settings; participate in design critiques and reviews
• Experienced or interested in data visualization
