Summary:The Manager Legal Business Affairs-Touring will be responsible for helping to serve Touring's business affairs needs including drafting business agreements for Touring and providing business affair support. The responsibilities will include coordinating, and preparing all varieties of legal documents (e.g. tour offers, tour agreements, one off agreements, vendor agreements etc.).

Pay Scale: $85,000 - $111,000

Summary:The Manager Legal Business Affairs-Touring will be responsible for helping to serve Touring's business affairs needs including drafting business agreements for Touring and providing business affair support. The responsibilities will include coordinating, and preparing all varieties of legal documents (e.g. tour offers, tour agreements, one off agreements, vendor agreements etc.).
Essential Functions:
- Oversee, review and edit artist(s) contracts including issuing, mark-up, receipt and processing.. Collecting all pertinent information related to the agreement, clarify data points and issue to artist management team and talent buyers associated with deal. Draft Tour Agreements by incorporating the terms of the deal into a long form document.
- Manage the drafting and coordinating of Tour Offers by incorporating the headline terms of the tour deal into a short form "heads of agreement" to be negotiated with the applicable artist agency.
- Responsible for reviewing and revising venue, vendor, co-promotion, sponsor and location agreements. Submit revisions of contract to director, talent buyer, or general manager of venue for approval and issue to vendor, co-promoter, or sponsor.
- Draft miscellaneous legal documents, agreements, and contracts for Touring such as advance agreements
- Manage and Initiate wire requests/deposits for artist and/or venue and submit for approval. Follow up with upper management for confirmation in timely manner to process with accounting department.
- Responsible for reviewing venue insurance for potential risks or special circumstances. Amend insurance agreement to include additional information and coverage as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Doctor of Jurisprudence (JD) Undergraduate degree, Juris Doctor Degree from an ABA accredited law school required. California bar membership preferred.
- 2-4 years of drafting legal contracts
- 0-2 Relevant experience in the entertainment industry
- Ability to build effective working relationships with clients, venues, and co-workers
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Self-motivated and takes initiative
- May require heavy travel for long period of time of the road.
